so the coca cola secret formula has said to be published feb 8 1978 in the atlanta journal constitution and has now come to light so is this a good thing? at first i was kinda excited to think about discovering what makes coca cola so good but while at the time when i had a fresh cup of cola in my hand the feeling of excitement subsided and what was left was the feeling of guilt and greed on my part, why cant i be happy with what i have in my hand? do i really need to know? well not really but since its all over the news you cant help but take notice but its okay coca cola was the first and i will always pick an original over a impersonation.
so here is a copy of the ingredients from that publish
Fluid extract of Coca 3 drams USP
Citric acid 3 oz
Caffeine 1 oz
Sugar 30 (quantity unclear from the markings)
Water 2.5 gal
Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt
Vanilla 1 oz
Caramel 1.5 oz or more to colour
7X flavour (use 2oz of flavour to 5 gals syrup)
Alcohol 8 oz
Orange oil 20 drops
Lemon oil 30 drops
Nutmeg oil 10 drops
Coriander 5 drops
Neroli 10 drops
Cinnamon 10 drops

Alcohol? I was at an event where they told us that each CEO has a key to safes that are placed in various parts of the country. All CEO's must use their key in each safe to make them open, and there's only a piece of the recipe in each safe... Not sure how valid this is...
